"Alif Lam Mim" is a term that appears several times in the Quran, and its meaning is not entirely clear. It is considered to be one of the mysterious letters (al-huruf al-muqatta'at) that appear at the beginning of some chapters of the Quran.
Another theory surrounding the meaning of Alif Laam Meem is that it represents an abbreviation of Allahās names, with āAlifā symbolizing Allah, āLaamā as Lateef and āMeemā denoting Majeedā 3 of Allahās 99 names.
